Tommi Kakko

Lecturer, writer, translator, PhD, amateur.

Helsinki

I am a university lecturer at the University of Eastern Finland where I teach English and academic writing. Before the UEF, I worked at Aalto University and Tampere University. I have published several articles on English literature and have presented papers at, among others, Durham University, Brunel University, University of Westminster (where I was a visiting research fellow 2014–2015), University of Manchester, Kingston University, University of Amsterdam, University of Lausanne, Ghent University, University of Split and University of Helsinki.

I’m also a translator (Finnish and English) who does technical translations and books.

In my free time, I like to write, draw, paint, record audio and video and make things. Some of them will be stored on this site.
