The last portrait I painted was of Oscar Wilde. Painting black and white pictures poses all kinds of challenges, which I avoid by simply picking a hue and running with it. In Oscar’s case it was pinkish. It was his birthday, after all.
Since Oscar’s birthday, I have had little time to paint, which is a shame. I have drawn all kinds of figures and played around with charcoal, graphite and a sketchbook. Perhaps this will lead to paintings of figures, who knows.
